Westfair Receives $100,000 Gift from MidAmerican Energy Foundation for Capital Campaign
COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA — Westfair announced today a $100,000 gift from the MidAmerican Energy Foundation to support its ongoing capital campaign. This major contribution brings the organization to $8.1 million raised toward its ultimate $10 million goal.
The generous investment will help strengthen Westfair's ability to serve Southwest Iowa for generations to come through enhanced community programming, modernized infrastructure, expanded accessibility and spaces designed to support youth, agriculture, education, and year-round community connection.

"Reaching the $8.1 million milestone brings our $10 million vision within arm's reach. The MidAmerican Energy Foundation makes targeted investments that have a far-reaching impact across its service area, with a strong focus on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. This $100,000 gift directly aligns with the Foundation's "CARES" giving pillars:
Community Enhancement & Arts and Culture: Helping build and preserve vibrant, unique public spaces where regional communities can learn, grow, connect, and celebrate their local heritage.
Education/STEM: Supporting hands-on leadership, agricultural education, and student experiences.
Safety: Promoting a safe, healthy regional environment where sports, recreation, and community events are accessible for people of all abilities.
With $8.1 million secured, The Spirit of Westfair campaign now enters its final phase of fundraising as community leaders continue working toward the campaign's $10 million goal.
